What you may and may not post

These rules exist because this is a public forum in Kenya, not because we want to silence you. Every rule below maps to a real law that could otherwise be used against you or against this platform.

Eight things that will get a post removed

Naming a person, business or officer

Naming someone and accusing them is how a defamation claim starts. Describe the role — 'my landlord', 'the employer', 'the officer at the counter'.

Anything involving a child

The Children Act protects the identity of minors absolutely. Nothing about a child's case may appear here, even by their own parent.

Sexual offence details

The Sexual Offences Act makes publishing identifying details of a complainant an offence. Please take these matters to a specialist organisation instead.

Live court or tribunal matters

Discussing an active case in public can amount to contempt of court. Wait until the matter is fully concluded.

Documents, photos, screenshots, recordings

We accept text only. There is no upload button anywhere on this platform, by design.

Personal contact details

No phone numbers, emails, ID numbers, plot numbers or physical addresses — yours or anyone else's.

Legal advice in replies

Telling someone what the law says or what they should do is the practice of law. Share what you did, not what they must do.

Hate speech, incitement, threats

Removed immediately and permanently. This includes ethnic, religious and gender-based attacks.

How moderation works

Every post passes an automatic safety screen before it is published. The screen blocks phone numbers, email addresses, ID references, child-related and sexual-offence terms, and case numbers, and it warns you when your text looks like it identifies a person or company.

After publication, moderation is reactive by design. We do not edit, rank, endorse or verify what you write. When we receive a valid complaint we take the post down first and discuss it afterwards. That combination — no editorial control, fast takedown — is what keeps this platform an intermediary rather than a publisher.

What this forum is not

  • It is not a law firm and gives no legal advice.
  • It does not match you with an advocate.
  • It does not review evidence or assess whether you have a case.
  • It does not keep private cases — everything here is public.
  • It cannot stop anyone from reading or copying what you post.

If you are in danger

If you are facing violence, threats or an emergency, a public forum is the wrong place. Contact the police, a hospital, or a specialist organisation directly. Posting here does not alert anyone and does not start any process.
