1. What we are

My Haki Voice operates a public online discussion forum. We are an internet intermediary hosting content created by users. We are not a law firm, not an advocate, not a legal aid organisation and not a court. Nothing on this platform is legal advice, and using it creates no advocate–client relationship with anyone.

2. What you agree to when posting

• Your post is public, permanent in effect, and may be read, copied, quoted or screenshotted by anyone.
• You are the author and you are legally responsible for what you write.
• You will not name or identify any individual, business, employer or public officer.
• You will not post about children, sexual offences, or matters currently before a court or tribunal.
• You will not post contact details, ID numbers, documents, images or recordings.
• You will not give legal advice to other users.
• You grant us a non-exclusive licence to display, store and remove your post.

3. No verification, no endorsement

We do not verify, investigate, edit, rank or endorse any post or reply. Content on this platform reflects the personal accounts of individual users only. Any reliance you place on it is entirely at your own risk.

4. Notice and takedown

If you believe content on this platform is unlawful, defamatory, in contempt of court, or breaches confidentiality, notify us through the takedown page. We will act on valid notices promptly and typically within 24 hours. We remove first and discuss afterwards. Removal is not an admission of liability by us or by the author.

5. Intermediary status

We rely on the protections available to service providers under section 56 of the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act, 2018. We do not exercise editorial control over user content and we act on actual notice.

6. No fees for anything case-related

Posting and reading are free. Any optional paid membership buys convenience features only. We will never charge for a case review, a legal opinion, a referral to an advocate, or the removal or promotion of a post.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Kenyan law, we are not liable for any loss, damage, claim or outcome arising from content posted by users, from your reliance on it, or from any action you take or fail to take after reading this platform.

8. Suspension and removal

We may remove any content and block access at our discretion, without notice, where we consider it unlawful, unsafe or in breach of the posting rules.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya and the courts of Kenya have exclusive jurisdiction.
